Biographical Info

The Historical Society owns and operates the Pike County Historical Museum. It is located in the Historic East School. The Society also owns the Shastid House, which was constructed in 1836 by John green Shastid a close friend of Abraham Lincoln. The house has been renovated to the period of its original construction and is stocked with furniture from that period.
