
The street and alley crew will be doing a road patch on West Perry just East of Mississippi St. The West bound lane will be closed in that area during the work and tomorrow until it cures.

Due to the forecasted sub freezing temperatures we will be turning the water off at the lake campgrounds/restrooms today. The campground will remain open through the weekend there but the water will be shut off.

The street and alley crew is doing a road patch on Clinton St. They will temporarily close Clinton St. this morning From Washington St. approximately 100' South. This will allow the bank to still use the parking on Clinton and not affect their drive thru. Please avoid this area if possible .
Update: the work in this area is complete, and the road is open with a section of the North bound lane still blacked off to allow the concrete to cure for a couple days.

Street and alley crew will be doing a concrete patch in the road on Fayette Street at Franklin today. Traffic will be reduced to one lane please avoid this area if possible

The Street and Alley crew will be patching gravel spots in the pavement this week. They will be starting this morning on Jefferson Street just West of Memorial Street, North of the Christian Church. Please avoid this area if possible.

Also a huge thank you to the Illinois Department of Natural Resources for their generous funding, in making a significant progress in enhancing access to our waterways and promoting recreational activities at our lake!

The Pittsfield Fire Department will be holding their 5k run tomorrow at Pittsfield Lake at 10AM. There may be road closures along the route to ensure the safety of the participants. The route is from the around the ballpark area to the East boat ramp turn off.

A Used Tire Collection has been scheduled with the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency to assist local units of government throughout Pike County in disposing of tires. The City of Pittsfield will collect tires on October 14th and 15th from 7:30 - 3:30 pm. Tires may be brought to the Public Works Building at 735 North Monroe Street. This is a free collection service for City of Pittsfield residents. Please bring proof of residency. Please note this is residential disposal only, tires will not be accepted from businesses.

The painting project on the Uptown water tower has been completed, and the tower is now fully operational. This includes the reopening of the bulk water sales station at the base of the tower.
