Jefferson Street from Memorial to Mississippi will be reduced to one lane beginning at 7a.m.
The Pikeland Unit 10 Safety Drill will be held this afternoon. The drill should occur sometime between 1:15 – 1:25. Students may be transported by bus or may be walking to check-in point areas during this time.

We're thrilled to announce that our City Burn Pile is open for use However, we kindly ask for your cooperation in ensuring its safe and efficient operation.
🚫 Please refrain from piling brush near the corn field! 🌽
👉 Here are a few important reminders:
✅ The City Burn Pile is the designated area for brush and yard waste disposal for City of Pittsfield residents.
✅ Do not stack or dump brush near the corn field. This area should remain clear to prevent potential fire hazards and to protect our agricultural resources.
✅ Ensure all materials brought to the burn pile are free of any non-organic materials, such as plastic, metal, or chemicals. These can be harmful when burned and damage the environment.
✅ Be mindful of wind conditions and follow safety guidelines when using the burn pile. Safety first, always!

We want to let you know that the City Burn Pile will be CLOSED until all the accumulated brush has been safely burned down. Your safety is our top priority, and we appreciate your understanding as we work to maintain a clean and secure environment.

We'll keep you posted on the reopening date, so stay tuned for updates. In the meantime, continue to practice fire safety and help keep our city beautiful. As always, our crews will continue brush pickup on the first Monday of the month.

The 300 Block of West Adams Street, from North West Street to Mississippi will be closed today, 10/4/23, from 8:30 am - 11:00 am. The remainder of the day and tomorrow traffic will be reduced to one lane.
Fayette Street from Clinton Street to Franklin Street will be reduced to one lane of traffic from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm today, September 25, 2023.

The 400 Block of South Illinois Street (from Morrison Street to Clare Street) will be temporarily closed for Street Repair today, September 25, 2023 from 10 am to 12 pm
The City of Pittsfield is accepting bids for the Pittsfield Penstone Municipal Airport Property Farm Rental.
The City of Pittsfield invites interested and qualified individuals or organizations to submit bids for the rental of approximately 184 acres of farmland located at the Pittsfield Penstone Airport property.
Bid specifications, property description and photographs, and sample lease agreement may be picked up at City Hall, 215 North Monroe Street, Pittsfield, IL 62363.
Interested parties are required to submit their bids by September 29, 2023 at 3:00 p.m. Bids should be submitted in a sealed envelope clearly marked “Airport Property Farm Rental Bid”.
The City of Pittsfield reserves the right to accept or reject any and all bids, to waive technicalities or formalities, and to make awards as deemed in the best interest of the municipality.
