The City currently has a water main break on W. Washington St. Between the 1200-1300 block. Crew is en route to repair the issue. Customers in the area may experience low or possibly no water pressure during the repair. We will issue a boil order for the effected areas as needed.

The boil order issued August 15, 2023, affecting The Pike County Housing Authority
Apartments on East Adams St. has been lifted. Laboratory sampling confirms the water quality has been fully restored. You may return to normal use of your water service.

The City will be smoking the sewer main just South of the Square to check for bad connections on a private line. We will start at approximately 12:30PM today and be completed within an hour if you notice anything in the area during that timeframe please let us know. It could mean there is an issue with your sewer.
The smoke we use is a theatrical smoke and shouldn't pose any issues if it gets inside a building. It would just need to be aired out.

East Adam's Street Apartments / Pike County Housing will be under a boil order until further notice due to a water main break. We will send out a notice when the boil order is lifted.

Happy Birthday to Gas and Water Employee Cody Gunder, hope you have a great day!

I wanted to share the photos of Gibson, 5, and Emerysn, 3, the children of Garrett and Erin White of Pittsfield. They never miss a year of getting their pictures taken during the 4th of July when the flags are around the square. These photos were forwarded to me by their Great Aunt Joyce, who lives out of town, with a very nice note that stated " I think their pictures depict the kind of town they live in, and the pride the citizens take in decorating for holidays, such as the 4th of July." I just wanted to share Joyce's kind words and thoughts and also thank all the volunteers that assist with our flag display throughout the year !
